Start Your EntrySupporting the workforce and individual wellbeing has never been more critical, with burnout reported at higher levels than ever and organisational culture under sustained strain. Ongoing shortages mean teams are being asked to do more with fewer people, and finding innovative digital means to make the most of each individual's time and skills, and enable them to work more flexibly, is paramount to meeting mounting system demand pressures. However, equally important is ensuring staff feel they are working in rewarding jobs, and being supported to succeed, with education, development and retention as much a part of the picture as productivity.
This award will recognise the NHS projects that are supporting both clinicians and the wider workforce with digital solutions and new ways of working to make best possible use of their skills, time and experience, improving job satisfaction, wellbeing and staff experience. Judges will look for genuine adoption in everyday practice and clear before and after evidence, whether that is time released from documentation and administration, reduced reliance on agency and bank spend, improved retention or measurable movement in staff survey results. Particular interest will be given to initiatives co-produced directly with staff.
Eligibility
- All NHS organisations (including providers, partnerships and systems), General Practice and primary care organisations.
- Evidence must relate to a project, ongoing or completed within the 2 years up until the award entry deadline.
